What’s New – Spring 2009 Happy Spring. At long last, the snow has melted and we are ready to take your orders on-line. Many customers have used our new on-line ordering system and reported it was clear and easy to use. The only negative feedback we have received so far is people miss talking to Colin and Mindy on the phone. Of course you can still call to place your orders and chat, but if you want the convenience of seeing your current & past orders, as well as placing or changing a current order, log on to https://www.basiltree.com/orders/login.php. If you don’t already have a password to access they system, just click on Forgot your Password on the Log-in page to get started. To celebrate Arbor Day we are making a donation to a local Somerville environmental organization that we have supported in the past. They are sponsoring a clean-up of the Mystic River in Somerville. To see more details or to sign up to help with the clean-up click here http://eagleeyeinstitute.org/mysticcleanup/ We are excited to debut photos on the on-line ordering system. We are adding more photos every day so take a look. During Passover, we include matzo whenever there is bread or rolls, and flourless chocolate macaroons with all dessert platters. No one should be without a Basil Tree sweet! We have a new treat to offer you. Each month we will offer a free sample of one of our menu items. This month’s sample is Individual Bundt Cakes in two flavors- Lemon Poppy and Chocolate Coconut. You can request this sample when you place any order by phone or on-line. Just ask for the monthly sample or go to Papergoods & Samples on the order site and select 1 sample. Or you never know you might just get one anyway! Don’t forget that we offer a service of picking up our platters, bowls, lids and serving utensils to be sterilized and re-used. This prevents lots of waste and it is easy for you. Just request or order on-line a pick-up bin (this option is under papergoods) to be dropped off with your order free of charge and we will pick it up later that day or the next day. No need to clean anything, just scrape the food off the platters and bowls and just drop them in the bin instead of the trash.
